Uses of Titanium carbide

Used in powder metallurgy, cutting tools, fine ceramics, chemical vapor deposition, hard wear-resistant alloy tool, tool, die and wear resistant structural parts of additives, improve the toughness of alloy.The sintered body of titanium carbide shows golden color and can be used as watch decoration.Titanium carbide can be used in lithium-sulfur batteries, supercapacitors, lithium-ion batteries.

(1) Li-sulfur battery has a high theoretical energy density, but the shuttle effect of soluble polysulfide Li2Sn (4≤n≤8) during the working process will seriously hinder the practical application of Li-S battery.In order to improve the shuttle effect of soluble polysulfide Li2Sn, researchers combined sulfur with carbon, conductive polymers or metal-based compounds to improve the electrochemical performance of lithium-sulfur batteries.
