Product use

Magnesium oxide is an alkaline oxide, which has the generality of alkaline oxide and belongs to cementitious material. It is a typical alkaline earth metal oxide. Magnesia can be divided into light magnesia and heavy magnesia. When exposed to air, it is easy to absorb water and carbon dioxide and gradually become basic magnesium carbonate. Light products are faster than heavy ones. Magnesium hydroxide is formed by combining with water under certain conditions, showing a slightly alkaline reaction. The PH of saturated aqueous solution is 10.3. It has strong refraction in the visible and near ultraviolet range. Magnesite (MgCO3), dolomite (MgCO3 ·CaCO3) and seawater are the main raw materials for the production of magnesium oxide.
1)Light magnesia is used in ceramics, enamels, refractory crucibles, refractory bricks, etc., as well as polishing agents, adhesives, paint and paper fillers, accelerators and activators of neoprene. It is used as antacid and laxative in medicine, for excessive gastric acid and duodenal ulcer, and for glass dye, phenolic, plastic and other industries

2)Alkaline granular refractories are mainly used in metal refining industry. Bulk refractories are used as furnace furnaces, or granular refractories are used as maintenance materials, and they are attached to the furnace wall by spraying and coating to enhance the fire resistance of the furnace

3)Magnesium oxide produces a positive charge in water, and most of the suspended matter is negatively charged, which can absorb and improve the filtration effect

4The use of magnesium oxide as a flame retardant, traditional flame retardant materials, widely used halogen-containing polymer or halogen-containing flame retardant mixture

5)Magnesium oxide can also be used as a neutralizer, magnesium oxide is alkaline and has good adsorption properties. it can be used as a neutralizer for acid-containing waste gas, wastewater treatment, treatment of waste liquid containing heavy metals and organic compounds, etc. with the improvement of environmental protection requirements, domestic demand is increasing rapidly
