(1)Used for semiconductor materials, high temperature resistant materials and metal spraying additives.
(2)It can strengthen plastics such as epoxy resin and metals such as cobalt and tungsten. It can be combined with aluminum and titanium to make high performance composite materials. The composite can work continuously at high temperature.Boron fiber reinforced aluminum matrix composites were used instead of titanium for the bomber, reducing both weight and cost.It can also be used as a protective plate for atomic reactors to protect against radiation.
(3)mainly used in the smelting of special alloy steel, can also be used as a gas in molten copper scavenger, control rods in atomic reactors and rocket fuel;In the electronics industry, the element boron is doped in the ignition pole of the ignition tube. Also can be used in medicine, ceramic industry and organic synthesis catalyst. It is the raw material for preparing many kinds of borides.
(4)Used as infrared device material.
(5)Used as high purity reagent, etc.
(6)Deoxidizer used in military industry as a deoxidizer of metal material, which is a component of elastic resistant ceramic material, advanced target material, coating and hardener, and high-tech ceramic.
(7)Used in powder metallurgy additives and thermal spraying surface coating materials, but also used in semiconductor industry.Preparation of amorphous boron by reduction of boron anhydride with magnesium.Used for solid ramjet and smokeless clean propellant.Used for ICP-AES,AAS,AFS,ICP-MS,Ion chromatography and so on.
